Is your cruise stopping off in Valencia and would you like to get out of the city? This small-group tour is specially designed for cruise passengers who want to discover a more authentic side of the Valencian Community without having to worry about the logistics.
We’ll pick you up directly at the Port of Valencia and, before setting off for Utiel-Requena, we’ll take a brief tour of Valencia with your official guide. You’ll discover some of the city’s most iconic sights as we leave the Mediterranean behind on our way to one of Spain’s most historic wine-producing regions.
Less than an hour from Valencia lies Utiel-Requena, known as the ‘Valencian Tuscany’ for its vineyards, rolling hills and traditional villages. Here, wine culture has been part of the landscape and local life for centuries.
Following this culinary and cultural experience, we will return to the Port of Valencia. The itinerary has been organised to take into account the port of call timetable, so that you can return to the ship well in advance of the boarding deadline.
1. Collection exclusively from the Port of Valencia. Meet your guide and the vehicle at the agreed meeting point next to your cruise terminal.
2. Panoramic view of Valencia. Before leaving the city, a brief guided introduction to Valencia and its contrasts: the harbour, contemporary architecture and Mediterranean lifestyle.
3. Bodega Histórica Murviedro, Requena. A tour of the historic underground cellars, which have been used for centuries to store wine and food thanks to their constant temperature, followed by a tasting of three wines — one of which takes place in the cellars themselves — accompanied by an aperitif.
4. Bodega Vera de Estenas, Utiel. A family-run winery surrounded by vineyards, housed in a beautiful late 19th-century villa. You’ll explore the farmhouse, learn about its history and discover how the wine is made, before enjoying a second tasting of three Valencian wines paired with local cheeses and cured meats.
5. Return to the Port of Valencia. We’ll head straight back to the port, with the journey timed so that we arrive well in advance of your cruise’s departure.
An exclusive excursion for cruise passengers. This experience is tailored to the timetable of each port of call. When booking, please let us know the name of the ship, the arrival time and the latest time you need to be back on board.
Approximate duration: 7 hours.

Back to the boat: We plan the route so that we return well in advance of the time specified by the shipping company. We recommend that the cruise departs between 17:00 and 18:00.
Minimum age for wine tastings: 18 years old. Minors may take part in the excursion and will be offered a non-alcoholic alternative where available.

The excursion is planned to fit in with your stopover schedule and allows plenty of time for you to return before the boarding deadline. That is why we need your cruise details when you book.
This is a small-group tour exclusively for cruise passengers. We can also organise a private version for groups, families or travel agencies.
You can cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before departure. If you cancel after this deadline or fail to turn up, no refund will be given.
