Delve into the heart of the earth to discover the hidden beauty of the Caves of San José.
The Caves of San José in Valencia: a natural wonder full of mysteries
Located in the heart of the Vall d'Uixó, the Caves of San José form a natural spectacle like no other. This cave system is home to the longest navigable underground river in Europe, with a length of 3000 metres, where history and geology merge to create a dreamlike landscape.
The route of the visit will be 1 kilometre: 850 metres by boat, accompanied by a professional boatman-guide, and 250 metres on foot. Inside you will see large galleries, stalactite-covered ceilings and spaces known as ‘the cathedral’ or the ‘bat room’.
We will reveal the origins of the San José caves and their evolution over the years. In addition, you will be able to contemplate impressive views of the Sierra de Espadán Natural Park, from an ancient Iberian settlement located just above the entrance to the caves.
The San José caves are a hidden treasure trove in the depths with many mysteries still to be solved. Dare to enter them with Valencia&Go. Your adventure starts here!
