The epicentre of the modern art in Valencia
Founded in 1989, IVAM is one of the most important Spain's most important modern art museums. Its permanent collection includes more than 12,000 works, from sculptures by Julio González to pieces by contemporary artists. With temporary exhibitions ranging from experimental art to the avant-garde of the 20th century, the IVAM is a meeting point for art and innovation lovers. Located in the El Carmen district, in the heart of the historic quarter, the museum also offers a space for reflection and dialogue between art and society. In addition to its exhibitions, the IVAM organises workshops, seminars and activities that make it a dynamic cultural centre that is always at the forefront.
