A tour through the heart of Valencia:
We start our journey at the Torres de Serranos to explore the most emblematic sites of Valencia, a jewel on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea that holds centuries of history. We'll take our first steps into the heart of the city, discovering the ancient walls that embraced Valencia over the years. We will go into the old town to unravel the architectural secrets that give life to this magical corner.
We begin our tour of Valencian Gothic architecture with the Church of San Nicolás. Known as the «Valencian Sistine Chapel», it stands out for the mixture of its Gothic structure and the Baroque decoration of 2000 m2 of frescoes painted by Dionís Vidal. A visual experience you won't forget!
We will continue our tour to the Lonja de la Seda, a Gothic building declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco, a Gothic masterpiece that will captivate you with its majestic architecture with elements typical of Valencian Gothic architecture such as the helicoidal columns and the ribbed vaults.
We will arrive at the Metropolitan Cathedral of Valencia, where legend has it that one of the most sacred relics of Christianity is kept: the Holy Chalice. Is it true? Let's find out together!
Our tour will end at the Plaza de la Virgen, the nerve centre of the city. There we will admire the Basilica de la Virgen María de los Desamparados, patron saint of Valencia, and learn about the Tribunal de las Aguas, the oldest continuously operating civil court in Europe.
This is the regular itinerary, however, it may be modified due to changes in the monuments' schedules or other situations of force majeure. In this case, we will let you know in advance.
