It's the perfect time for walks
One of the most acclaimed areas during this time of year is the Turia Garden, Whether you're cycling, walking or just want to organise a picnic, this place is perfect for lovers of green spaces and the great outdoors. In addition, you can also get away from the city to breathe in the sea air on the beaches of Malvarrosa and Patacona.
Getting to know Valencian culture
Valencia is a city very rich in culture and during the autumn we can see this with dates as important as the Nou d'octubre. This is one of the most important events commemorating the entry of Jaume I the Conqueror into Valencia in 1238.
On this day, the ‘day of lovers’ is also celebrated in Valencia, also called ‘Día de la mocadorà’ (Day of the mocadorà). According to tradition, silk handkerchiefs tied with a knot or a ring with delicious marzipan sweets inside are given as gifts. Originally in the shape of a firecracker in response to the Bourbon prohibition, nowadays the shapes also include small fruits and vegetables.
Watching the sunset
Who doesn't like a good sunset? Valencia is known for its hours of sunshine and also for its sunsets. Undoubtedly the most emblematic is the one we can experience on board a boat in the Albufera Natural Park. Just 15 minutes from the city, you can admire nature, the birds' migration and the colours that autumn brings, while breathing in the fresh air.
