Discover the most iconic spots in the centre of Valencia and round off your visit with a tasting of local wines
Valencia can also be discovered through its wines. We’ll start near the Central Market with a guided walking tour lasting approximately one hour around the market area and the Carmen neighbourhood. Your official guide will introduce you to the city’s history, some of its most iconic spots and the role that wine has played in local life.
We’ll walk past the Silk Exchange and the Church of the Saints John before heading into the streets of El Carmen. Along the way, you’ll discover places such as the Plaza del Tossal and the Portal de Valldigna, whilst hearing stories, interesting facts and recommendations from someone who knows Valencia well.
And at the end of the walk, the most special moment arrives: step inside Valencia’s oldest wine cellar, tucked away in the very heart of El Carmen. We’ll visit this 13th-century underground space and then enjoy a Guided tasting of three wines from the Valencian Community, accompanied by a selection of local produce.

A tour through the heart of Valencia:
We start our journey at the Torres de Serranos to explore the most emblematic sites of Valencia, a jewel on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea that holds centuries of history. We'll take our first steps into the heart of the city, discovering the ancient walls that embraced Valencia over the years. We will go into the old town to unravel the architectural secrets that give life to this magical corner.
We’ll meet at the main entrance to the market. From here, we’ll begin our tour of Valencia’s shopping district and the buildings that tell its story, such as the Silk Exchange and the Church of Los Santos Juanes, which we’ll view from the outside.
We’ll continue on foot towards the Carmen neighbourhood, passing through the Plaza del Tossal, the Portal de Valldigna and other spots in the old town. The guided tour lasts approximately one hour in total.
We’ll go into the city’s oldest wine cellar to explore its underground chambers and discover a part of medieval Valencia that has been preserved beneath the neighbourhood’s streets.
We’ll finish with a guided tasting of 3 Valencian wines, accompanied by local produce. The experience ends in El Carmen.
