After two hours of travel along the Levantine coast, we will arrive at this imposing walled city built vertically.
A real medieval gem!
A local guide will guide us through our tour and start to walk up the steep cobbled streets so characteristic of Morella.
We will meet in the historic castle that crowns the town.
Did you know that among its guests is the Cid Campeador?
As we enter this Islamic fortress built in the 12th century, we will discover the importance it acquired for the Crown of Aragon.
We will also visit the Convent de San Francesc, a former Franciscan monastery known for its Gothic architecture and its historical and religious importance in the region, and the Esglèsia de Santa Maria la Major, the most beautiful Gothic church in the Valencian Community.
Afterward, we will leave you free time to continue exploring Morella at your leisure and taste the local gastronomy as well as admire the different local craft stalls.

- Peñíscola
After lunch, we will head east until we reach the town of Peñíscola, a harmonious mix of history and Mediterranean beauty.
Known as the city of Papa Luna and famous for having been chosen to film a number of movies and series in its picturesque streets, such as Game of Thrones.
Here we will discover the castle, located at the top of a rock on the sea. This fortress served as a palace and personal library for the famous Pope Luna, one of the most controversial religious in the history of Spain.
After our visit to the old town of Peñíscola, which houses samples of the Muslim, Roman and Templar architecture, we will visit out places of interest like the house of the shells and the buffador.
We will follow the route of the old wall that protected the city, being able to contemplate on one side the blue of the sea and on the other the mixture of blues and whites of the original houses of the old town.
After enjoying a full day exploring these two towns, we will return to Valencia in the afternoon.

For the visit to Morella and Peñíscola we will pick you up around 8:00 a.m. (the schedule is approximate, we will send a confirmation message the day before with the pick-up details) at the meeting point you choose and we will head north in the direction to Morella.

- Tips before going: comfortable shoes, keep in mind that the cobblestone streets are not easy. A light sweater (if in spring-summer) and warm clothing in autumn and winter are recommended at any time of year.
