Serranos Towers

The Serranos Towers, one of the two medieval gates that remain in Valencia, together with the Quart Towers. They were erected as a symbol of the city’s prosperity and commercial expansion in the 14th century.

Where it all begins: the Serranos Towers of Valencia

The Serranos Towers are one of the twelve gates that were part of the medieval walls of Valencia. Built in the 14th century, these defensive towers are exceptionally well preserved and offer an impressive view from their battlements, allowing you to see both the old town and the Turia Garden. Over the years, the towers have been used as noble prisons and symbols of defense. Today, they are a visible reminder of Valencia’s medieval past and a great place to start your tour of the city.
