An afternoon spent enjoying wine, good food and that moment when the landscape of Requena changes colour.
There are afternoons when you fancy swapping the city for a glass of wine and a bit of scenery. This is one of them.
We’ll meet at Torres de Serranos and set off for Requena. On the way, our guide will explain why wine is such an integral part of this area’s history and introduce you to its star attraction: the Bobal, a native grape variety with plenty of character.
On arriving at NOVOS Wineries, we’ll explore their vineyards, the winery and the process behind their wines. Afterwards, we’ll enjoy a a guided wine tasting of at least four wines from Requena, accompanied by local produce.
And whilst we’re tasting the wines, the moment that gives the tour its name will arrive: sunset. We’ll enjoy it whilst taking in the views of the surrounding countryside from NOVOS’s glass-fronted tasting room. In the cooler months, the fireplace makes you want to stay a little longer. The description of the tour and the tasting room is based on the experience published by the winery itself.
You don’t need to know anything about wine to have a good time. The winery team will explain each glass in an approachable way, so you can discover what you’re tasting and, whilst you’re at it, find a new favourite.
The guided visit to NOVOS winery and wine tasting are included all year round. The food experience changes with the season.

The excursion lasts approximately 5 hours. The departure time varies throughout the year to ensure we arrive at the winery in good time before sunset. Please check the available times when selecting your date.
Serranos Towers, next to the stairs leading up to the towers. This is the only meeting point and drop-off point for the tour. We’ll send you your booking details before the activity.
Not at all. The tasting is designed to be enjoyed and to help you discover new things. The NOVOS team will tell you what makes each wine special, whether you’re already familiar with Bobal or it’s your first time trying it.
The times are approximate and vary depending on the month: we set off earlier in winter and later in summer to time the tour to coincide with sunset. We’ll send you a confirmation message 24 hours before the activity with the exact pick-up time.
You’ll be able to spot the guide at the meeting point – they’ll be wearing their official guide badge. You can ask for Valencia&Go, and if you can’t find them, please contact us directly via WhatsApp.
You can cancel free of charge up to 48 hours before departure. If you cancel after this deadline or fail to turn up, no refund will be given.
